Vancouver
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park that lies along the downtown of Vancouver located in British Columbia, Canada and is almost entirely surrounded by water bodies that comprise Vancouver Harbour and English Bay. The park is a landmark in the city's history and was one of the first areas explored in the city. The land was used by indigenous people for centuries prior to when it was colonized by British in 1858. The park's name is derived from Lord Stanley from Preston, who was the governor general of Canada from 1888 to 1893. In his time, he was instrumental in establishing many important institution of the arts throughout Vancouver including Stanley Park. The park was initially designed as a park for temperance where people could gather to relax and enjoy a picnic away from the chaos and drinking of the city. In the course of time, it has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vancouver with over 8 million visitors every year.
There are a variety of things to do in Stanley Park including the Vancouver Aquarium, Canadian First Nations Totem Poles, Brockton Point Lighthouse along with Lost Lagoon. The Aquarium houses more than 70,000 animals including stingrays, sharks, sea turtles and dolphins. Its Totem Poles were brought to Vancouver from different First Nations villages around British Columbia they tell the stories and legends of these communities. Capilano Suspension Bridge
Spanning 450 feet (137m) across and over 230 feet (70m) over the Capilano River, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Vancouver's top tourist attractions. The bridge was constructed in 1953 and is constructed out of cable with the deck made of wood. It is swaying slightly as you walk across, providing stunning views of the canyon and river below.
The bridge is one of many bridges in the Capilano Suspension Park and includes seven acres (2.8 hectares) of forest that includes trails for hiking including in addition to the Treetops Adventure - a series of suspended bridges high up in the canopy of the forest and the Cliffwalk which offers a totally different perspective on the Capilano Canyon.
Vancouver Aquarium
The Vancouver Aquarium is among the most well-known places to visit in Vancouver and with reasons that are well-founded. The Aquarium is located in Stanley Park, the Aquarium hosts over 70,000 marine creatures from all over the world. Some highlights are beluga whales, dolphins, sea otters and sharks.

The Toronto Zoo was established on the 14th of April 1974 by Metropolitan Toronto Zoological Society, is a large animal park located in Vaughan. It is the country's most popular experience in zoology, and is open all day, except Christmas Day. The zoo is home to over five thousand animals that represent more than 500 species. The zoo has been certified through CAZA (Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums) since 2002.
