Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park that borders the downtown of Vancouver located in British Columbia, Canada and is almost entirely surrounded by waters of Vancouver Harbour and English Bay. The park is a landmark in the city's history and was one of the first areas explored in the city. The area was utilized by indigenous people for centuries prior to when it was colonized by the British in 1858. The park was named in honor of Lord Stanley from Preston who served as Governor General for Canada from 1888 until 1893. During his tenure, he was instrumental in establishing many important institutional spaces throughout Vancouver such as Stanley Park. The park was initially designed to be a place that would allow people to have picnics and be away from the chaos and drinking that characterized the downtown. But, as time passed, it has grown to become one of Vancouver's most visited tourist spots with an estimated 8 million visitors every year.

Capilano Suspension Bridge

The bridge was constructed in 1953 and is made of cable, with a deck of wooden. The bridge sways slightly when you cross, offering incredible views of the river and canyon below.
