Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park which is situated near the downtown area of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada and is almost entirely surrounded by water bodies in Vancouver Harbour as well as English Bay. The park has a long-standing history and was among the first areas to be explored by the city. The land was used by indigenous people for centuries prior to when it was Colonized by the British around 1858. The park is named after Lord Stanley of Preston who served as the governor general of Canada from 1888 until 1893. During his tenure, the Governor General helped to establish numerous important institutional spaces within Vancouver which included Stanley Park. The park was initially designed as a park for temperance in which people could go to relax and enjoy a picnic away from the raunchy and drunkenness of the city. But, as time passed, it has evolved into one of Vancouver's most sought-after tourist destinations with an estimated 8 million visitors every year.
There are a variety of attractions within Stanley Park including the Vancouver Aquarium, Canadian First Nations Totem Poles, Brockton Point Lighthouse and Lost Lagoon. The Aquarium hosts more than 70 000 animals, including stingrays sharks, sea turtles and dolphins. They also have Totem poles. Totem Poles were brought to Vancouver from various First Nations villages around British Columbia and depict stories and legends from these cultures. Its Brockton Point Lighthouse is one of the most storied lighthouses of British Columbia and offers stunning views of both the city skyline and North Shore mountains. Lost Lagoon is a man-made lake which is home to various species of fish and birds.
Capilano Suspension Bridge
The bridge spans the length of 450 feet (137m) across and at a height of 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is among Vancouver's most popular tourist attractions. The current bridge was built in 1953 and is constructed of cable, with a wooden deck. It is swaying slightly as you walk across, providing incredible views of the river and the canyon below.
The bridge is just one of many bridges in the Capilano Suspension Park that also comprises seven acres (2.8 hectares) of forest, with hiking trails and The Treetops Adventure - a series of suspended bridges high in the canopy of the forest and the Cliffwalk - a completely different viewpoint of The Capilano Canyon.
Vancouver Aquarium
The Vancouver Aquarium is among the most well-known tourist attractions in Vancouver and with good reason. It is located in Stanley Park, the Aquarium hosts over 70,000 marine animals from all over the world. Some highlights are beluga whales dolphins, sea otters and sharks.
Visitors can also take part in tours behind-the-scenes including sleepovers, sleepovers, or engaging educational activities. This Aquarium is open every day all year round, except for Christmas Day.
Grouse Mountain

The Toronto Zoo, founded in 1974 by the Metropolitan Toronto Zoological Society, is a large zoo situated in Vaughan. The zoo has been accredited as a CAZA accredited zoo CAZA (Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums) since 2002.
