Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park that lies along the downtown area of Vancouver located in British Columbia, Canada and is almost completely surrounded by the water bodies of Vancouver Harbour along with English Bay. The park has a long history and was one of the first areas that was explored in the city. The park was used by indigenous people for centuries prior to when it was Colonized by the British around 1858. The park's name is derived from Lord Stanley of Preston, who was the governor general of Canada from 1888 to 1893.
