Vancouver
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park which is situated near the downtown area of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada and is almost completely surrounded by the water bodies that comprise Vancouver Harbour as well as English Bay. The park has a long history and was among the first areas that was explored in the city. The park was used by indigenous people for many centuries before it was colonized by British at the time of 1858. The park is named after Lord Stanley from Preston, who was the Governor General of Canada from 1888 to 1893. His time as Governor General was a period when he helped to establish a number of important cultural institutions in Vancouver and included Stanley Park. The park was originally designed to be a place where people could come to enjoy picnics and escape from the drunkenness and rowdiness in the urban. But, as time passed, it has evolved into one of Vancouver's most sought-after tourist destinations with more than 8 million people visiting each year.
There are a variety of things to do in Stanley Park including the Vancouver Aquarium, Canadian First Nations Totem Poles, Brockton Point Lighthouse, along with Lost Lagoon. Capilano Suspension Bridge
With a length of across 450 feet (137m) across and at a height of 230 feet (70m) over the Capilano River, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Vancouver's most visited tourist destinations. The current bridge was built in 1953, and is constructed from cable, and has the deck made of wood. It is swaying slightly as you walk across, providing stunning views of the river and the canyon below.
The bridge is portion of the Capilano Bridge Suspension Park, which also includes seven acres (2.8 acres) of forest, with trails for hiking as well as The Treetops Adventure - a series of suspended bridges high in the canopy of the forest and the Cliffwalk offering a different perspective on Capilano Canyon. Ripley's Aquarium of Canada
Ripley's Aquarium from Canada is a popular aquarium located in Toronto, Canada. It is one of three facilities located in North America operated by Ripley Entertainment. It is located in Downtown Toronto at the base of the CN Tower. The aquarium houses 5.7 million litres (1.2 million gallons) of marine and freshwater habitats from across the world.
