Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park which is situated near the downtown area of Vancouver within British Columbia, Canada and is almost completely surrounded by the water bodies from Vancouver Harbour as well as English Bay. The park has a long and rich history and was among the first areas to be explored in the city. The land was used by indigenous peoples for centuries before it was colonized by the British in 1858. The park is named after Lord Stanley of Preston who served as the governor general of Canada from 1888 to 1893. In his time, the Governor General helped to establish numerous important cultural institutions in Vancouver including Stanley Park. The park was originally designed as a park of temperance, where people could come to picnic and get away from the raunchy and drunkenness that characterized the downtown. However, over time it has become one of Vancouver's most popular tourist destinations with over 8 million visitors each year.
There are many attractions within Stanley Park including the Vancouver Aquarium, Canadian First Nations Totem Poles, Brockton Point Lighthouse, along with Lost Lagoon. The Aquarium houses more than 70 000 animals, including stingrays sea turtles, sharks, and dolphins. Its Totem Poles were brought to Vancouver from diverse First Nations villages around British Columbia and depict legends and stories from these different cultures. The Brockton Point Lighthouse is one of the oldest lights in British Columbia and offers stunning views of both the city skyline and North Shore mountains. Capilano Suspension Bridge
It spans across 450 feet (137m) across and up to 230 feet (70m) over the Capilano River, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is among Vancouver's top tourist attractions. The current bridge was built in 1953, and is constructed of cableand a wooden deck. It sways slightly as you cross it, offering incredible views of the canyon and river below.
The bridge is part of the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park that also comprises seven acres (2.8 hectares) of forest with hiking trails, The Treetops Adventure - a series of suspended bridges high in the canopy of the forest and the Cliffwalk which offers a totally different viewpoint of Capilano Canyon. Vancouver Aquarium
Vancouver Aquarium Vancouver Aquarium is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vancouver and with reasons that are well-founded. In Stanley Park, the Aquarium hosts around 70,000 water creatures from around the globe. Some highlights are beluga whales sea otters, dolphins, and sharks.

Grouse Mountain

The main draw is the spectacular Montmorency Falls. The falls is 83 meters (272 feet) high and 30 metres (98 feet) more than Niagara Falls! A suspension bridge spanning the falls provides stunning views. You can also take a staircase down to the bottom at the bottom of the fall.
