Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park that borders the downtown area of Vancouver situated in British Columbia, Canada and is almost entirely surrounded by water bodies that comprise Vancouver Harbour and English Bay. The park is a landmark in the city's history and was one of the first areas that was explored by the city. The park was used by indigenous people for many centuries before it was Colonized by the British in 1858. The park's name is derived from Lord Stanley from Preston who served as Governor General for Canada from 1888 until 1893.
