Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park that is located near the downtown area of Vancouver located in British Columbia, Canada and is almost completely surrounded by the waters of Vancouver Harbour along with English Bay. The park has a long history and was among the first areas explored by the city. It was a popular place for indigenous people for many centuries before it was Colonized by the British around 1858. The park was named in honor of Lord Stanley of Preston, who was the governor general of Canada between 1888 and 1893. While in his administration, he was instrumental in establishing many important cultural institutions located in Vancouver and included Stanley Park. The park was originally designed as a park of temperance, where people could come to enjoy picnics and escape from the rowdiness and drunkenness of the city. But, as time passed, it has evolved into one of Vancouver's most sought-after tourist destinations with more than 8 million people visiting each year.

Capilano Suspension Bridge
