Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park that borders the downtown area of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada and is almost entirely surrounded by waters from Vancouver Harbour and English Bay. The land was used by indigenous people for centuries prior to when it was colonized by the British at the time of 1858. The park was named in honor of Lord Stanley of Preston who served as the governor general of Canada from 1888 until 1893.
