Stanley Park
Stanley Park is a public park which is situated near the downtown area of Vancouver within British Columbia, Canada and is almost entirely surrounded by water bodies from Vancouver Harbour along with English Bay. The park has a long and rich history and was among the first areas that was explored by the city. The land was used by indigenous peoples for centuries before it was colonized by British in 1858. The park was named in honor of Lord Stanley of Preston who served as Governor General for Canada between 1888 and 1893. While in his administration, he helped to establish a number of important institutional spaces within Vancouver including Stanley Park. Grouse Mountain
